Do we enjoy Travelling more because of 9–5?
Travel has become increasingly popular nowadays, especially after the pandemic. Everyone seems to express a desire to explore the world, both for themselves and their families, often tied to their need for higher financial gains. However, one might question whether this enthusiasm stems from a genuine love for travel or simply a desire to showcase their adventures to the world. While each destination may offer unique experiences, there comes a point where landscapes and cityscapes start to blend together.
Some individuals however, seem focused on increasing the number of countries visited, raising the question of whether their travels are driven by genuine enjoyment or the pursuit of a mere facade, maybe they have their best reasons about it too
I believe there isn’t a universal activity that everyone enjoys; rather, people seek enjoyment in experiences outside their regular routines.
For instance, someone raised in the mountains might find fascination in urban environments, and vice versa, although they’ll always hold their hometown dear. The novelty lies in experiences that aren’t part of daily life.
As time passes, even novelty experiences can start feeling repetitive, with only slight variations. But travel is so much more than just nature and city; it encompasses a lot of people, culture, and many feelings beyond comprehension. I guess it’s worth everything spent for if you’ve done with the right attitude ❤️
So, does our daily grind, with its long hours and dedication, actually enhance our enjoyment of travel?
We often view travel as our escape or freedom from the metaphorical cage of our routine 9–5 or entrepreneurial pursuits, finding immense joy in experiences we can’t access in our daily lives.
